The Creation of a Fun Surprise

1. Find something that seems JUST RIGHT for a Certain Person (this is generally the hardest part).

2. Notice there is a coupon AND the item qualifies for free shipping!

3. Wonder if you might not be the only one who thinks this would be an EXCELLENT surprise for Certain Person, if only everyone else knew about it!

4. Realize that NOT ONLY is this thing JUST RIGHT for a Certain Person, but it would ALSO make a WONDERFUL Valentine's Day Package!

5. Email everyone you think might like to be involved in a fun surprise (and whose email address you have).

6. Keep track of the people who are participating so you know how many packages you are waiting for.

7. Anticipate strange look from your mail-delivery person when you receive 12 identical packages over 1-2 days.

8. Open packages and check packing information so that you can make sure you have received everything that's been sent and properly label each item with its sender's name.

9. Wrap some additional presents, include large amounts of chocolate, write an explanatory card, and send the box.

10. Email everyone who participated to let them know that the box is ON ITS WAY!!!

11. Stalk the box's progress.

12. Enjoy a Certain Person's surprise when the box arrives =).

A Lovely, Lovely Person* sent me a wonderful CDPackage months ago hey, I already admitted that I'm a CDP hoarder!

"Need help holding it together?"--fun binder clips (anyone know why they are called "binder clips"?)
"Pucker up!"--Burt's bees lip stuff (I had JUST been needing more lip stuff because the children stole all of mine!)
"Do I hear jingle bells?"--cute towels that cheered me up every time I walked into the hall bathroom

"Goes nicely with earmuffs"--Peppermint Hot Cocoa, one of my favorites!

"Maybe curl up with a good book"--White Chocolate Hot Cocoa, my other favorite!

"Did someone make a mess??"--(Why, YES! Someone DID just make a mess! Right in his pants! And I got to clean it up!) Peppermint hand soap! Peppermint is one of my favorite cleaning smells!

I was SO EXCITED when I opened these! I had received a pack in a previous CDP, and I had LOVED them! I wanted to immediately order another set, since I make muffins in a batch of 24, but I had just stocked up on the paper wrappers, so I decided that I ought to be responsible and wait until I used those up. Now I don't have to wait! Squeeeee!!!

*I will be keeping Crappy Day Present senders anonymous so that the sender doesn't have to worry that Person Q is going to see what they (the sender) sent me and possibly feel bad that their (Person Q's) package was not as fabulous as mine ;-).
